About the Role
The role involves working closely with development and product teams to validate the effectiveness of Trust & Safety mechanisms, ensuring user protection and policy enforcement through rigorous testing methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement test strategies for Trust & Safety features
- Collaborate with engineers and product managers to understand system requirements
- Develop automated test scripts to validate platform behavior
- Identify, document, and track software defects
- Perform manual testing when automation is not feasible
- Validate rule-based content moderation systems
- Assess the impact of changes on user safety and platform integrity
- Simulate real-world attack scenarios to test system resilience
- Review logs and system outputs to detect anomalies
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations
- Participate in sprint planning and testing cycles
- Maintain up-to-date test documentation and case repositories
- Evaluate performance under high-volume transaction environments
- Test integration points between Trust & Safety systems and core platform services
- Support incident investigations by providing test data and analysis
Nice to Have
- Experience testing machine learning-based moderation systems
- Knowledge of privacy and data protection standards
- Exposure to large-scale distributed systems
- Scripting experience in Python or similar languages
- Understanding of ethical considerations in content enforcement
