Responsibilities
- Lead the creation and implementation of innovative fault-tolerant quantum algorithms with significant scientific and commercial potential across multiple sectors.
- Conduct in-depth assessments of quantum algorithm resource requirements and evaluate the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of fault-tolerant quantum computing relative to NISQ and classical approaches.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in fault-tolerant quantum computing, clearly explaining current capabilities, scalability trends, trade-offs, and performance thresholds to internal stakeholders.
- Foster collaborative problem-solving across diverse technical teams to define and address complex real-world challenges using trapped-ion quantum hardware.
- Create and promote advanced methodologies, metrics, and tools for benchmarking and estimating resource needs in quantum computing.
- Build a strong portfolio of foundational intellectual property and publish high-impact, peer-reviewed research; represent the organization at industry events and in engagements with external clients.
