EBS Sp. z o.o. / Alarm.com is hiring a Software Engineering Manager to lead a team of full-stack developers focused on server-side smart home security systems. You will drive projects that process security events, provision equipment, manage station signaling, and integrate devices, providing technical mentorship and setting clear timelines.
What You'll Do
- Manage a team of 5-7 software engineers.
- Provide technical mentorship to developers on your team.
- Deliver projects and set project timelines.
- Generate work for your team.
- Manage projects that span a variety of technical areas.
- Work across various technical areas using Agile development methods.
- Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive team environment through day-to-day leadership.
- Hire, develop, and manage a diverse and talented team of engineers.
- Deliver large scale, cross-functional projects on time and in a high-quality manner.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a related field or equivalent work experience.
- 8+ years of professional software development experience.
- 3+ years of professional experience managing a team of developers.
- Strong technical mentorship skills.
- Strong object-oriented programming skills.
- Experience with database design and development.
- Knowledge of networking concepts, principles, and technologies.
- Experience working with physical systems.
- Experience developing scalable service-oriented architectures.
- Ability to communicate effectively with engineers and non-engineers alike.
- Experience hiring, developing and managing a diverse and talented team of engineers.
- Proven track record delivering large scale, cross-functional projects on time and in a high-quality manner.
- Comfortable navigating competing priorities and ambiguous situations. Communicates clearly, sets boundaries, and makes decisions under pressure.
Nice to Have
- C# programming language experience is a plus.
- Backend-leaning engineer preferred, with experience working on full-stack teams and contributing across the stack as needed.
