About the Role
The individual will build and optimize foundational infrastructure services, contributing to the stability and efficiency of large-scale systems through robust engineering practices.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain critical backend systems that support platform functionality
- Improve system reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement infrastructure solutions
- Diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks in production environments
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
- Participate in system design discussions and technical planning
- Contribute to incident response and on-call support when needed
- Ensure infrastructure complies with security and operational standards
- Automate deployment and operational workflows
- Monitor system health and proactively address potential issues
- Integrate new technologies to enhance platform capabilities
- Support migration efforts from legacy to modern architectures
- Document system designs and operational procedures
- Work with observability tools to analyze system behavior
- Optimize resource utilization and cost efficiency
- Implement resilient and fault-tolerant services
- Follow software development best practices
- Contribute to code reviews and knowledge sharing
- Stay current with emerging infrastructure technologies
- Assist in defining long-term technical direction for core systems
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience with large-scale data processing systems
- Deep knowledge of Kubernetes or similar platforms
- Background in site reliability engineering
- Familiarity with service mesh technologies
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools
- Contributions to open-source infrastructure projects
- Prior work on real-time or low-latency systems
- Exposure to database scaling and optimization
- Understanding of compliance frameworks for data systems
