Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable REST APIs and serverless microservices using Node.js, TypeScript, and AWS.
- Deliver production-ready features across backend services and React user interfaces, from technical design through monitoring and improvement.
- Improve service reliability, performance, and quality through strong testing, code reviews, debugging, and operational ownership.
- Partner with engineers and cross-functional colleagues to make sound architectural decisions and clearly communicate technical approaches.
- Support and mentor early-career engineers through constructive feedback, knowledge sharing, and collaborative problem-solving.
- Use AI-powered development tools responsibly to accelerate coding, testing, research, documentation, and code reviews—applying judgment to validate outputs and manage security, privacy, and quality risks.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience delivering production applications in an agile environment.
- Strong backend development experience with Node.js and TypeScript, including building and maintaining RESTful APIs.
- Hands-on experience with AWS and building or supporting cloud-based, serverless applications.
- Experience with React for developing modern, responsive web interfaces.
- Working knowledge of SQL databases, such as PostgreSQL, along with Git and Docker-based development workflows.
- Familiarity with practical AI and LLM concepts—including context limits, embeddings, hallucinations, and safe use of AI tools in software development.
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach to technical problem-solving, code reviews, and supporting teammates.
Nice to Have
- Experience with infrastructure as code, such as AWS CDK or Terraform.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipeline design, DevOps practices, or AI-assisted developer tooling.
- Experience working with Angular or contributing to full-stack architecture and design discussions.
