About the Role
The engineer will contribute to the development and improvement of backend services, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure high performance and responsiveness of software platforms.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement backend services for data ingestion and analysis
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define technical requirements
- Troubleshoot and resolve system performance issues
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to team best practices
- Support the deployment and monitoring of production systems
- Improve system reliability and scalability
- Work with distributed systems and cloud infrastructure
- Ensure software meets security and compliance standards
- Develop automated testing frameworks
- Optimize database queries and data access patterns
- Contribute to architectural discussions and planning
- Maintain documentation for systems and processes
- Respond to critical incidents and on-call rotations
- Integrate third-party services and APIs
- Use version control systems effectively
- Follow agile development methodologies
- Mentor junior engineers when needed
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends
- Participate in incident post-mortems and root cause analysis
- Support continuous integration and delivery pipelines
- Ensure observability in system design
- Collaborate on feature prioritization and estimation
- Work with containerized environments such as Docker
- Apply software design patterns appropriately
