Thryv is looking for a Software Account Executive to join our team in Dallas, Texas. You will be responsible for increasing our penetration into the existing client base, deepening engagement with current software clients, and expanding our SaaS client base through new sales. This role combines nurturing and growing relationships with existing clients while actively identifying and pursuing new client opportunities to meet a predetermined sales quota.
What You'll Do
- Contact assigned clients to present opportunities for additional sales or extended usage based on their needs.
- Identify and secure new SaaS clients by leveraging self-generated prospecting and company-initiated prospecting programs.
- Execute all defined operational processes with excellence, including designed cadences for client engagement, product certifications, and order entry.
- Participate in sales meetings, call calibrations, and training as needed.
- Hunt for new business (90% of focus) while managing existing client relationships (10%).
- Educate and guide prospects through the buyer’s journey to demonstrate how Thryv can grow their business.
- Partner with marketing and technology departments to execute sales strategy for product enhancements and new releases.
- Build and nurture a pipeline of prospects and close deals.
- Develop effective solutions to help customers succeed.
What We're Looking For
- 4+ years of related sales experience.
- 3+ years in an outbound full sales cycle role.
- Strong industry knowledge with the ability to gain a thorough understanding of the Thryv product suite.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with strong emotional intelligence and adaptability.
- Excellent time and organization skills to manage multiple priorities with competing demands.
- Ability to work independently in a remote-first environment, conducting sales presentations while following established processes.
- Strong technical skills with proficiency in MS Office and the ability to learn new programs.
- Associate degree (or international equivalent) or equivalent experience required.
- Comfortable working remotely with high-speed internet, a professional office setting, and proper business attire.
- The desire and commitment to do what it takes to be successful in sales.
- A positive outlook and strong ability to take responsibility for successes and failures.
- Goal-oriented and persuasive, able to explain software solutions in simple terms.
- Proven ability to exceed sales quotas and expectations.
