Penn State Athletics is hiring a part-time Softball Operations Assistant to provide comprehensive support for the softball program. You will manage logistics, facilitate team activities, and contribute to the operational success of a dynamic athletic department.
What You'll Do
- Assist with planning and execution of team travel logistics, including hotel accommodations, transportation, itineraries, and meal request forms.
- Manage and maintain the daily calendar for team activities, including practice schedules, meetings, and appointments.
- Coordinate facility reservations and communicate updates with coaches, staff, and student-athletes.
- Provide operational support during practices and games, including setup and teardown of equipment.
- Assist with planning and execution of special events such as banquets, recruiting events, team retreats, and senior day.
- Support the development and execution of community service initiatives, youth clinics, and outreach programs.
- Maintain communication with alumni through newsletters, event invitations, and social media.
- Assist in organizing alumni events and managing alumni contact databases.
- Provide day-to-day support to the Director of Operations and coaching staff, including inventory management, apparel/equipment orders, and compliance/administrative tasks.
What We're Looking For
- Must pass Annual Compliance and Mandated Reporter trainings.
- Must pass Pennsylvania mandated background checks.
- Must operate a motor vehicle as part of job duties.
- Valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check.
- Must pass PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check.
Team & Environment
You will provide day-to-day support to the Director of Operations and coaching staff, reporting directly to the Director of Operations.
Work Mode
This is an onsite position.
