Allegheny Health Network is hiring a Patient Host or Hostess (SEIU - D, PT) to support patient nutrition services. In this role, you will interface directly with patients to help guide their meal selection process, ensuring they receive appropriate and satisfying meals according to their dietary needs.
What You'll Do
- Interact with patients to collect appropriate food selections.
- Edit and enter patient food selections into the computer system and verify proper dietetic physician orders.
- Utilize proper food handling and food storage techniques when assembling patient trays and when receiving, rotating, and storing food.
- Deliver and retrieve food carts and ensure patient trays are delivered in accordance with the tray delivery schedule.
- Maintain and assemble floor stock.
What We're Looking For
- Ability to interact professionally and compassionately with patients.
- Strong attention to detail for accurate data entry and diet verification.
- Knowledge of proper food safety and handling techniques.
- Reliability in following delivery schedules and procedures.
Nice to Have
- 1 year of food and nutrition experience.

This is an onsite position.
