Visit.org is looking for a Social Media Specialist to shape and grow our online community. In this role, you will manage our social media presence, focusing on content execution, community engagement, and performance optimization to support brand awareness, campaigns, and audience growth.
What You'll Do
- Create, schedule, and publish engaging social media content across platforms such as Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, and Facebook.
- Write clear, on-brand captions and adapt messaging for different audiences and platforms.
- Monitor social channels, respond to comments and messages, and engage with the community in a timely, professional manner.
- Collaborate with content, marketing, and design teams to support campaigns and initiatives.
- Track and report on performance metrics including engagement, reach, and follower growth.
- Identify social media trends, tools, and best practices to continuously improve content and performance.
- Support social media calendars and ensure consistent posting cadence.
What We're Looking For
- 1–3 years of experience managing social media for a brand, organization, or agency.
- Strong understanding of major social media platforms and their best practices.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Experience using social media management and analytics tools.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Experience with short-form video content and basic video editing tools.
- Familiarity with social media analytics and reporting.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with nonprofits, mission-driven organizations, or global audiences.
