Argumentorik-Akademie GmbH is looking for a Social Media Specialist to manage and grow the Mukuru brand’s presence across social media platforms. You will be responsible for creating and executing content strategies to enhance engagement and expand the customer base.
What You'll Do
- Initiate and execute creative content strategies aligning with the Mukuru brand.
- Copywrite all social media posts according to brand guidelines.
- Conduct market research analysis to identify trends, competitor performance, and market opportunities.
- Assist in developing social media transaction or security policies.
- Keep abreast of government regulations and emerging web technology to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with other marketing staff to integrate strategies across multiple social media platforms.
- Participate in developing and implementing online marketing strategy with overall responsibility for social media implementation.
- Improve social media activities through ongoing analysis, experimentation, or optimization tests.
- Conduct online marketing initiatives like paid ad placement, affiliate programs, and email promotions on social media.
- Identify appropriate KPIs and report key metrics from social media activities.
- Ensure positive social media sentiment and provide recommendations to improve.
- Set up or optimize analytics tools for tracking visitor behaviours.
- Collect and analyze web metrics such as visits, conversion rates, and cost per acquisition.
- Manage tracking and reporting of social media activities to provide analyses to stakeholders.
- Conduct financial modelling, tracking, and reporting for online marketing programs.
- Execute digital competitions (planning, design, sign off, and execution).
- Evaluate new emerging media or technologies and make recommendations for social media campaigns.
- Identify, evaluate, and propose procurement of hardware or software for social media marketing initiatives.
- Propose online or social media channel campaigns to marketing leaders.
- Collaborate with web, IT, service providers, and graphic design staff to create multimedia social media content.
- Contribute to identifying and developing commercial or technical specifications to inform social media tactics.
- Execute and manage social media campaigns with sales, operations, and other key stakeholders.
- Assist in evaluating and negotiating contracts with vendors or online partners.
- Attend monthly KPI discussion and bi-annual performance meeting with Digital Marketing Manager.
- Maintain knowledge of current digital marketing methodology and practices.
- Keep abreast of remittance developments within the money transfer service industry.
- Keep abreast of new product/partner launches.
What We're Looking For
- Grade 12 or Equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma.
- Social Media and Digital Marketing courses.
- Minimum 5 years Digital Marketing Experience.
- Minimum 5 years experience with Social Media Platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok).
- Knowledge of Social Media Platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok).
- Knowledge of marketing & communication processes.
- Knowledge of content creation (video and static).
- Knowledge of websites.
Nice to Have
- Minimum 3 years Fintech and/or Financial Services experience (advantageous not necessity).
Team & Environment
You will report directly to the Digital Marketing Manager. The role involves internal liaison with all internal departments and external liaison with customers through social media.
Work Mode
This is an in-office position located in Cape Town.
