Weekday is hiring a proactive and creative Social Media Manager to build, manage, and scale our brand presence across major social platforms. Your focus will be on driving engagement, increasing brand visibility, and amplifying high-impact content through timely and culturally aware social storytelling.
What You'll Do
- Manage and grow brand presence across social media platforms including X (Twitter), Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and others.
- Stay updated on market trends, internet culture, and memes to create engaging, shareable content that boosts reach and follower growth.
- Monitor real-time conversations and trends to ensure timely and relevant posting.
- Collaborate closely with journalists, editors, and the content team to amplify key stories, insights, and analysis.
- Track and analyze performance metrics such as engagement, reach, and conversions; optimize content strategy based on insights.
- Actively engage with the audience by responding to comments, messages, and mentions to build a strong community.
- Conduct competitor and market analysis to identify opportunities and stay ahead of trends.
What We're Looking For
- 2–5 years of experience managing social media for a media, news, or digital content platform.
- Strong understanding of best practices across X, Facebook, and Instagram.
- Excellent copywriting skills with the ability to create short, impactful, and engaging social content.
- Hands-on experience with social media analytics and scheduling tools such as Hootsuite, Buffer, or Sprout Social.
Nice to Have
- Prior exposure to web3 or emerging technology media is a strong advantage.
