Salesforce is seeking a Staff Member of Technical Staff (SMTS) Software Engineer to play a key role in advancing our network infrastructure. You will join a team focused on network monitoring, optimization, and AI-driven initiatives, enabling the reliability and efficiency of Salesforce data centers and public cloud services.
What You'll Do
- Conduct research to identify cost-effective tools for migrating network logs from Graylog, driving substantial cost savings.
- Build an active network monitoring tool to troubleshoot incidents and track network service-level agreements.
- Lead the collection of power consumption metrics for all network devices to optimize power usage.
- Improve the efficiency and availability of the network devices log monitoring pipeline to reduce time to detect and mitigate incidents.
- Mentor an intern in executing a Proof of Concept for developing an in-house GPT model.
- Enhance network performance, monitoring tools, and security across Salesforce data centers.
What We're Looking For
- A Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.
- Special Skill Requirements: (1) designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions; (2) writing and testing code; (3) troubleshooting and optimizing applications; (4) Cloud-Based Automation Testing Tools; (5) Tool Development and Maintenance.

This role has a hybrid work arrangement, based in Burlington, MA. Telecommuting is an option.
