Energean is looking for a Site Manager to oversee operations at the Comiso II gas production site in Sicily. This critical role ensures full regulatory compliance and manages all aspects of the site, including gas processing, power generation, and gasoline production. As the appointed Worksite Supervisor (Sorvegliante) under mining regulations, you will be directly responsible for worker health and safety while driving operational efficiency.
What You'll Do
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Comiso II production site, including gas production, power generation, and gasoline production.
- Coordinate site operations and maintenance activities to ensure both operational efficiency and strict safety compliance.
- Supervise plant operations and continuously monitor production processes, safety systems, and utilities.
- Issue all necessary instructions to safely isolate equipment and plant sections for inspection or maintenance.
- Provide on-site supervision of work activities to ensure compliance with all applicable safety requirements.
- Act as Plant Responsible Person to ensure safe execution of activities, evaluate residual risks, and prepare work permits.
- Manage all administrative documentation for the Production Site and prepare required regulatory forms.
- Monitor and oversee plant systems to prevent any type of environmental pollution.
- Periodically manage all plant safety systems, verifying full functionality as per regulations and maintenance plans.
- Manage Production Operators involved in plant operations, providing clear instructions and oversight.
- Actively participate in the emergency response team and contribute to the activation and implementation of emergency plans.
What We're Looking For
- A technical or industrial diploma.
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role involving the operation of industrial plants within the oil & gas and/or petrochemical sector.
- Knowledge of the main principles of plant operation and process management.
- Knowledge of regulations related to safety and environmental protection.
- Knowledge of safety-related plant regulations such as PED, ATEX, and LDAR.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience as a Plant Manager or Plant Responsible Person.
- Specific knowledge of mining regulations and waste management.
Team & Environment
You will oversee a team of Production Operators. Administratively and hierarchically, you will report to the Operations Manager. For safety oversight, you will report directly to the Responsible Director (Direttore Responsabile).

This is an onsite position based at the Comiso II production site in Comiso, Sicily, Italy.
