Lead the technical and regulatory integrity of a UK Self-Invested Personal Pension (SIPP) platform in a part-time leadership role. You will ensure compliance with evolving UK pension legislation, including oversight from the FCA, DWP, and HMRC, while aligning internal processes and technology with regulatory expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret changes in pension regulation, assessing impact on product design and operational workflows.
- Act as the primary resolver for complex technical pension cases, supporting clients and internal teams with accurate, compliant solutions.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to implement updates tied to legislative shifts, including requirements related to the Pensions Dashboard.
- Strengthen governance frameworks by identifying market risks and contributing to controls that protect customer outcomes.
- Develop and deliver technical training to build internal expertise on pensions across departments.
- Represent the organisation in technical discussions with external partners and at industry events when needed.
Qualifications
Candidates must demonstrate deep familiarity with HMRC and FCA rules governing SIPPs, with proven ability to translate regulatory updates into clear operational guidance. Experience resolving intricate technical pension issues in fast-moving environments is essential. Strong communication skills are required to bridge technical, product, and compliance teams.
Professional qualifications such as DipPFS, APMI, or equivalent are preferred. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, highly organised, and capable of working independently while contributing to a collaborative, high-trust culture.
