Responsibilities
- Own signal integrity for the interconnects that make advanced AI compute systems reliable at scale.
- Shape the high-speed PCB and interconnect structures behind Graphcore’s next AI compute platforms.
- Take technical ownership across board, package and system-level design.
- Develop, extract, simulate and validate structures for SerDes, DDR and other high-speed interfaces.
- Turn complex requirements into practical design rules, then prove them through simulation and lab correlation.
- Guide layout decisions, challenge assumptions and use evidence to move designs forward quickly.
Requirements
- Strong signal and power integrity capability across high-speed digital hardware.
- Deep understanding of transmission lines, impedance control, loss, crosstalk, jitter, return paths and power delivery.
- Practical experience with multi-gigabit SerDes, DDR or other advanced board-level interfaces.
- Experience using SI/PI and electromagnetic tools such as ANSYS SIwave, HFSS, Siemens HyperLynx or equivalent.
- Hands-on lab experience using VNAs, high-speed oscilloscopes, signal generators and related measurement equipment.
- Ability to turn simulation data, lab results and system requirements into sound engineering decisions.
