Responsibilities
- Follow all company policies, site protocols, and comply with health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times
- Manage working hours in accordance with the Road Transport Directive
- Communicate with team members and ensure shift reports are completed accurately
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and promptly report any faults or damage, completing required paperwork
- Inspect loaded trailers and inform operations personnel of findings
- Complete and submit trailer checklists to the operations team
- Carry out shunting tasks, including routine maintenance and safety verifications
- Coordinate with warehouse and inbound goods staff to facilitate efficient loading and unloading
- Perform vehicle data downloads following company procedures
- Track vehicle service schedules and MOTs, coordinating with the Transport Office and service providers
- Support fuel delivery operations and conduct manual fuel level checks when needed
- Maintain a clean and organized yard environment
- Communicate with the Transport Office for special events such as promotional campaigns or vehicle livery updates
- Oversee the movement of traffic entering and exiting the yard
