Role Overview
This position is responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient operations during assigned shifts by addressing technical challenges in real time. The engineer leads initiatives focused on improving manufacturing processes, reducing costs, and increasing system reliability through data-driven analysis and project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead small- to medium-scale engineering projects related to process optimization, yield improvement, and capacity expansion
- Diagnose and resolve equipment and process issues to minimize production downtime
- Apply engineering principles to analyze performance data and identify root causes of inefficiencies
- Develop and implement corrective actions to enhance process robustness and product quality
- Coordinate resources, timelines, and technical requirements for project execution
- Monitor project progress, evaluate implementation quality, and adjust plans as needed
- Use statistical methods to assess process behavior and detect trends affecting output or compliance
- Design and modify process solutions for intermediate-level technical challenges
- Anticipate potential operational risks by evaluating changing conditions and resource constraints
- Mentor team members by sharing technical knowledge and best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet production and quality objectives
- Ensure compliance with established policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
Candidates should have demonstrated technical proficiency in an engineering or scientific discipline, with experience applying standard methodologies to solve moderately complex problems. A background in regulated industries such as pharmaceuticals, biologics, or medical devices is highly valued. Strong analytical abilities, effective communication skills, and the capacity to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment are essential.
A bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or a related field is preferred, along with at least two years of relevant experience. Equivalent technical expertise combined with proven performance may substitute for formal education.
Work Environment
