Allergan Aesthetics, an AbbVie company, seeks a Shift Technical Engineer to apply scientific and engineering knowledge to lead process troubleshooting and minimize production downtime during assigned shifts. This engineering professional will plan and conduct small- to medium-sized projects focused on continuous improvement, cost reduction, and capacity increase, leading to process remediation and enhancement.
What You'll Do
- Ensure compliance with applicable policies and procedures.
- Plan and conduct small- to medium-size assigned projects for continuous improvement, cost reduction, and capacity increase using conventional plans, investigations, and/or equipment.
- Coordinate and monitor project activities, review plans, and employ contingency plans to recover from schedule or financial overruns.
- Estimate and coordinate resources needed to accomplish assigned tasks.
- Independently execute projects in manufacturing process areas to achieve efficiencies in yield, quality, throughput, and cost by applying standard engineering theories and techniques.
- Create or modify designs for intermediate problems, gather and analyze process data using statistical process control, and support action plan development.
- Improve methods, designs, and processes by recognizing and implementing innovations and cost reductions.
- Mentor others by sharing technical expertise and resolving underlying technical and automation problems.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, science, or a closely related discipline is desired, or equivalent technical experience plus demonstrated competence.
- 2+ years of significant engineering and/or operational experience.
- Working technical knowledge and application of concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Ability to work on problems of moderate scope where analysis requires review of identifiable factors.
- Strong interactive skills with diverse groups and the ability to maintain relationships with internal and external collaborators.
- Ability to articulate perspectives tactfully and respectfully, both orally and in writing.
- Collaboration skills to work well with other engineers in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment.
- Interpersonal skills to negotiate and reconcile differences.

- Demonstrated competency within a specific engineering discipline.
- A technical background in health care, medical devices, pharmaceutical, biologics, or similar industries.
