What You'll Do
Handle incoming service requests by monitoring and responding to tickets through email or a portal, adhering to defined response timelines. Provide direct technical assistance to clients via phone or written communication, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
Carry out hardware diagnostics and repairs, including replacing components such as hard drives and memory modules. Install and configure server racks, mount equipment, and manage both copper and fiber cabling, including cross connects, labeling, and performance testing.
Conduct routine site surveys and support network troubleshooting efforts. Maintain accurate records of inventory, cabling configurations, and equipment logs. Support monthly reporting by compiling data for internal use and client distribution.
Collaborate with external vendors to coordinate equipment delivery, installation, and issue resolution. Escalate complex problems when necessary and ensure smooth handovers between shifts through clear communication with team members.
Requirements
- Hold a Diploma or Degree in an IT-related field with at least three years of professional experience
- Have a minimum of one year working in a data centre, remote hands, or NOC setting
- Demonstrate strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Be physically capable of handling equipment and working in a data centre environment
- Adapt to a fast-paced schedule and maintain a proactive, learning-oriented mindset
- Commit to working 12-hour rotating shifts as required
