This role is central to advancing ServiceNow capabilities within the HR Service Delivery domain, focusing on delivering intuitive, efficient, and scalable solutions for public sector clients. As a ServiceNow Developer II, you will play a key part in designing, configuring, and enhancing platform features including HR case management, employee lifecycle events, and mobile experiences using Now Mobile and UI Builder. You will work closely with architects and platform owners to ensure solutions are secure, maintainable, and aligned with Agile and SAFe delivery practices. Your contributions will directly impact user experience, operational efficiency, and compliance with federal requirements, while also supporting continuous learning and innovation within a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and configure ServiceNow HR Service Delivery solutions across core HR, Employee Center, Lifecycle Events, and Case Management, utilizing HR playbooks to guide implementation.
- Configure Now Mobile applications with expertise in applets, approvals, task execution, push notifications, and deep linking to support mobile workflows.
- Use UI Builder to create and manage Workspace and Employee Center experiences, including page composition, client state handling, and component setup.
- Proactively identify potential risks, dependencies, and unintended consequences of configuration or customization decisions and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Deliver secure, compliant solutions tailored to public sector client requirements.
- Follow ServiceNow best practices to balance rapid delivery with long-term platform sustainability.
- Perform additional duties as needed.
Requirements
- At least one year of hands-on experience implementing ServiceNow solutions, including configuration and scripting tasks.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification is required.
- Experience working in a SAFe or Agile delivery environment, actively participating in ceremonies such as PI Planning, iteration planning, backlog refinement, standups, and demos.
- Ability to troubleshoot platform issues, interpret requirements, and implement enhancements with minimal supervision.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical documentation.
Nice to Have
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certification is preferred.
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification is preferred.
