Position OverviewJoin the Parks department in Arlington as a part-time Service Representative responsible for supporting sports and recreation programs. This role combines customer service, administrative support, and facility operations to ensure smooth daily functions and positive public experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide accurate information on programs, schedules, rules, and facility access using digital and print resources
- Process registrations and collect fees using specialized software systems
- Enter and manage customer data with accuracy and confidentiality
- Respond to inquiries from the public, adapting quickly to varying requests and topics
- Support facility operations by performing routine maintenance, including cleaning and equipment handling
- Open and close facilities independently, ensuring safety and compliance
- Coordinate space usage for events, rentals, and meetings in collaboration with internal and external groups
- Compose correspondence and support administrative tasks as needed
- Operate a motorized vehicle as a core function of the role
Qualifications
Candidates must demonstrate knowledge of office procedures, recreation program structures, and information management systems. Experience in customer service within recreational or public programs is essential. The role requires physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks involving standing, bending, and moving throughout the facility.
One year of college plus one year of related experience is required. A valid Texas Class C driver’s license is mandatory. Bilingual ability in Spanish and English is a plus.
