Role Overview
This position is responsible for advancing the organic search presence of digital health properties through strategic optimization of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO elements. Working closely with editorial and content teams, the analyst ensures that content is discoverable, technically sound, and aligned with user search intent.
Key Responsibilities
- Optimize web content using CMS platforms such as WordPress, Joomla, and Drupal, focusing on meta tags, headers, and internal linking structures.
- Perform in-depth keyword research to uncover growth opportunities and guide content planning based on search trends and audience behavior.
- Execute technical SEO audits to identify and resolve issues related to site speed, mobile usability, crawlability, and structured data implementation.
- Monitor site performance using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and third-party tools like Ahrefs and SEMrush, delivering actionable insights from traffic, rankings, and engagement data.
- Develop and manage off-page SEO initiatives, including outreach and link-building strategies to strengthen domain authority.
- Support content creation by advising on SEO best practices, ensuring alignment with keyword targets and search engine guidelines.
- Stay current with search engine algorithm updates and evolving SEO standards, particularly within the health and wellness space.
- Use Excel to organize, analyze, and report on SEO metrics with intermediate proficiency.
Qualifications
- At least four years of direct SEO experience, with a preference for work in health, medical, or wellness-related digital environments.
- Proven experience with content management systems and the ability to edit and optimize web pages effectively.
- Solid understanding of HTML and CSS to support on-page SEO improvements.
- Proficiency with SEO analytics tools including Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, and Google Keyword Planner.
- Experience in technical SEO, including site architecture, mobile optimization, and structured data markup.
- Strong analytical skills with a track record of translating data into strategic recommendations.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, particularly when working across editorial, product, and technical teams.
- Intermediate Excel skills for data manipulation and reporting.
