Pearl Health is hiring a Senior XD Researcher to be a key partner responsible for planning and executing a research roadmap that directly informs the development of our platform. You will run mixed-methods research, blending deep qualitative inquiry with quantitative analysis to uncover actionable insights and influence decision-making.
What You'll Do
- Define and prioritize key learning goals that align with the product roadmap and team objectives.
- Design and execute a continuous stream of research (exploratory, generative, and evaluative) that balances rigor and speed.
- Select the right methodology (qualitative, quantitative, or mixed) and approach for research questions.
- Synthesize and connect qualitative findings with quantitative data to build a comprehensive story of the user experience.
- Independently lead all aspects of research, including study design, planning, recruitment, execution, analysis, and synthesis.
- Translate complex findings into actionable, data-driven recommendations that directly influence product decision-making.
- Act as an advocate for customers and scale research by mentoring and empowering cross-functional partners in discovery methods.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in experience design/product research or an applied social science field.
- A portfolio demonstrating how your work on digital products directly informed design and product outcomes.
- Mastery of a wide range of qualitative and quantitative methods.
- Demonstrable experience working in an embedded model, collaborating closely with agile/scrum teams and contributing to rapid, continuous discovery cycles.
- Exceptional communication and facilitation skills to synthesize complex information into a clear and persuasive narrative.
- Proven experience mentoring and training others (e.g., product managers, designers) in research best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in HCI, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, Social Sciences, or a related field.
Nice to Have
- 3+ years of experience in healthcare or a similarly complex domain.
