Responsibilities
- Serve as a senior strategic lead and trusted advisor across key client relationships, providing high-level counsel on social, digital, and influencer strategies within a regulated healthcare landscape
- Guide clients and internal teams through the complexities of digital/social initiatives in healthcare communications, balancing innovation with compliance, and proactively identifying risks and opportunities
- Lead the development of integrated, insight-driven social and influencer strategies that align with broader brand and business objectives
- Oversee the end-to-end execution of large-scale, multi-channel programs – from strategic planning through implementation and measurement – ensuring excellence at every stage
- Drive the evolution of influencer strategy, including patient, caregiver, and HCP engagement, with oversight of identification, vetting, contracting, content development, and performance evaluation
- Shape and refine strategic narratives through compelling briefs, presentations, and storytelling that resonate with both clients and cross-functional partners
- Partner closely with cross-functional teams (CX, earned, paid, creative, analytics, sci comms) to ensure seamless integration and execution
- Act as a senior escalation point, navigating complex client dynamics and ensuring alignment across stakeholders
- Lead, mentor, and inspire team members – while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous growth
- Partner with CX Lead to oversee financial management, including scope development, resource allocation of digital/social initiatives, and ensure programs are delivered on time and within budget
- Champion innovation by staying ahead of emerging platforms, technologies, and cultural trends, translating these into actionable opportunities for clients
- Contribute to new business efforts, including pitch development and thought leadership, helping to grow the healthcare social and influencer offering
Requirements
- 12–15+ years of experience in digital, social media, and/or digital PR
- Demonstrated expertise providing senior-level strategic counsel to clients, including navigating complex, highly regulated environments
- Deep understanding of social media ecosystems, influencer strategy, and the evolving digital landscape, with a strong point of view on where the industry is heading
- Proven ability to lead large, integrated teams and manage complex programs with multiple workstreams
- Strong experience with patient and HCP influencer engagement, including an understanding of compliance considerations and best practices
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into clear, compelling narratives
- Experience collaborating across disciplines, including media, creative, analytics, and medical/legal/regulatory teams
- Strong business acumen, including experience managing scopes of work, budgets, and resource planning
- Ability to synthesize data and insights into actionable recommendations that drive strategy and performance
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities while maintaining a high standard of excellence
- A collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset with a passion for pushing boundaries and redefining what’s possible in healthcare communications
Work Arrangement
Remote (City/Region) — San Francisco, Los Angeles
Additional Information
- Some travel is expected.
- Salary range: $180,000 USD - $245,000 USD
