Parsons Transportation Group is hiring a Senior Traffic and Signals Engineering Lead to be a senior technical leader within our ITS/Smart Mobility Group. You will design and deploy state-of-the-art software solutions centered on the iNET Product, integrating ITS assets such as CCTV, DMS, traffic signals, ATMS, ICMS, CAV, and data hubs. You will independently develop and supervise advanced ITS designs, specifications, and technical procedures.
What You'll Do
- Serve as a senior technical leader creating enhanced technical solutions to meet client and regulatory requirements.
- Research, analyze, and organize statistics or other technical materials for specific applications.
- Work independently on ITS designs and specification submittals, collaborating with other team members.
- Participate in business development, supporting the technical aspects of opportunities, including proposal preparation and client presentations.
- Keep abreast of technological developments related to your area of expertise.
- Participate in one or more professional organizations.
- May write or review articles for publication in professional journals.
- May perform in a technical leadership role, providing direction to others in the production of products or services.
- May supervise or mentor one or more subordinates and provide input regarding performance.
- Oversee project development and coordinate teams of developers to meet design standards.
- Plan, track, and schedule deliverables, often using agile processes like sprint planning.
What We're Looking For
- Engineering Degree.
- 15+ years of Traffic Engineer experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Nice to Have
- Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) certification.
