Gilead Sciences, Inc. is hiring a Senior Therapeutic Specialist for the Cataluña territory. In this role, you will be responsible for achieving sales targets and managing coverage, representing Gilead's products to healthcare professionals. What You'll Do
- Achieve coverage, frequency, and consistently meet sales targets in your assigned territory.
- Contribute to regional training, helping develop key skills for other team members.
- Initiate systems to monitor sales progress, measure success, and provide feedback on performance.
- Work collaboratively with outside partner companies to co-promote products or services.
- Manage territory budgets for customer contacts, speaker events, and other external expenditures.
- Represent the company at professional events, promoting company products.
- Work cooperatively with Medical Science Liaisons, National Account Managers, Marketing, and other internal teams on cross-functional projects.
- Assist in identifying and resolving issues and opportunities, communicating proactively to sales management.
- Complete administrative tasks in a timely manner, including updating customer databases and expenses.
- Communicate and function across the commercial team to ensure efficient project collaboration.
- Operate in full compliance with Gilead commercial compliance policy and all applicable laws.
- Prepare a business plan for your territory, assign targets, and communicate actions to achieve goals.
- Build and extend business relationships with key customers and accounts.
- Achieve required competency levels for the role.
What We're Looking For
- BA or BS degree.
- 5+ years of relevant sales experience within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
- Achievement of any mandatory country-specific pharmaceutical sales certifications.
- Proven expertise in interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work with a general level of autonomy and independence.
- Previous pharmaceutical experience is essential.
- Compliance with all regulatory agencies and federal and state law.
Nice to Have
- At least 5 years experience in oncology; preferentially in Breast Cancer.
- Relevant therapeutic working knowledge.
- Prior experience in the appropriate therapeutic area.
Team & Environment
This role works as an individual contributor. You will work cooperatively with Medical Science Liaisons, National Account Managers, Marketing, and other internal Gilead team members.
