As a Senior Technical Writer, you will play a key role in making complex technical systems understandable and accessible. You'll work directly with software development teams to document the inner workings of a scalable cloud platform used for quoting and order management, ensuring that technical content is accurate, well-structured, and user-focused.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with engineers to produce detailed integration guides, API references, and system workflows
- Explain data models and platform behavior through clear, context-rich documentation
- Write and maintain operational guides, including installation procedures, security practices, and upgrade paths
- Translate technical functionality into practical examples for developers and operators
- Document distributed system architecture in a way that supports both developers and operations teams
- Advise and mentor team members on writing standards, tools, and documentation processes
What We're Looking For
- Background in software engineering or systems integration, with hands-on technical experience
- Familiarity with financial technology environments and secure systems
- Experience working with Open API specifications and testing APIs via tools like Postman or Bruno
- Ability to navigate code repositories using Git and interpret JSON payloads
- Comfort running command-line tools to interact with development and staging environments
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on clarity, precision, and usability
- Proven ability to learn technical concepts by walking through real user workflows
- Must be based in Malaysia
Work Environment
This is a fully remote role with the expectation that you reside in Malaysia. You’ll be expected to attend in-person workshops several times a year, including sessions in Bali and Melbourne. These gatherings include technical training, collaborative problem-solving, team development, and knowledge sharing. The role supports a flexible schedule, with emphasis on autonomy and accountability.
