Amperesand is hiring a Senior Technical Sourcer

Role Overview

We’re looking for a Senior Technical Sourcer to expand and enhance our pipeline of engineering talent. In this role, you’ll focus on proactive candidate discovery and long-term relationship development for positions ranging from early-career to senior levels, with a strong emphasis on hardware, embedded systems, electrical, mechanical, and systems engineering disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead outbound sourcing initiatives using targeted outreach methods and network expansion to connect with high-potential candidates in specialized engineering fields
  • Create and refine sourcing strategies, including talent mapping, to ensure a steady flow of diverse, qualified applicants
  • Collaborate closely with full-cycle recruiters and hiring teams to grasp technical requirements and align sourcing efforts with hiring goals
  • Monitor and evaluate sourcing performance to refine approaches and improve outcomes over time
  • Stay current with technical domains relevant to hardware and deep-tech innovation to accurately assess candidate expertise and industry trends
  • Engage candidates with professionalism and technical insight, reflecting strong credibility in every interaction

What You Bring

  • At least 5 years of experience in technical sourcing, specifically within hardware and engineering environments
  • Demonstrated success in cultivating lasting relationships with technical professionals
  • Ability to use data to shape and improve sourcing tactics
  • Self-motivated approach with adaptability in fast-moving, scaling organizations
  • Skill in writing outreach messages that speak effectively to engineers
  • Experience supporting high-volume hiring in partnership with recruiting teams
  • Proficiency with tools including LinkedIn Recruiter and Boolean search techniques

Nice-to-Have Experience

  • Background in startup or high-growth company settings
  • Prior work in agency or RPO environments
  • Exposure to university or early-career recruiting programs
  • Familiarity with emerging or niche hardware technology areas

Work Environment

This is an on-site position with required full-time presence at one of our locations in San Francisco, Reno, or Singapore. We do not offer remote or hybrid arrangements for this role.
