JetBrains was looking for a Senior Technical Project Manager (IDE Department)

JetBrains is seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager to join the IDE Department. In this role, you will lead complex technical projects, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software solutions that enhance developer productivity.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and manage technical projects across the IDE Department from initiation to closure
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, and product teams to define project scope, goals, and deliverables
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, resolve blockers, and ensure project alignment with strategic objectives
  • Facilitate communication between stakeholders and provide regular status updates
  • Ensure adherence to Agile methodologies and best practices in project execution
  • Track and report on project performance metrics and deliverables
  • Drive continuous improvement in project management processes and tools

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in technical project management
  • Proven experience managing complex software development projects, particularly in IDEs or developer tools
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and distributed teams
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or equivalent

Nice to Have

  • Master’s degree in a technical or management discipline
  • Experience working at a software development tools company
  • Familiarity with JetBrains products or similar IDEs
  • Certifications such as PMP, CSM, or SAFe
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, or Python
