JetBrains is seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager to join the IDE Department. In this role, you will lead complex technical projects, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software solutions that enhance developer productivity.
What You'll Do
- Lead and manage technical projects across the IDE Department from initiation to closure
- Collaborate with engineering, design, and product teams to define project scope, goals, and deliverables
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation
- Identify and mitigate project risks, resolve blockers, and ensure project alignment with strategic objectives
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders and provide regular status updates
- Ensure adherence to Agile methodologies and best practices in project execution
- Track and report on project performance metrics and deliverables
- Drive continuous improvement in project management processes and tools
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in technical project management
- Proven experience managing complex software development projects, particularly in IDEs or developer tools
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and distributed teams
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or equivalent
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in a technical or management discipline
- Experience working at a software development tools company
- Familiarity with JetBrains products or similar IDEs
- Certifications such as PMP, CSM, or SAFe
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, or Python
