NVIDIA is hiring a Senior Systems Software Engineer, Containers and Kubernetes

About the Role

This role involves developing and enhancing container and Kubernetes technologies to support scalable, high-performance computing environments. The engineer will work on core infrastructure, focusing on reliability, efficiency, and integration across complex systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop core components for container runtime environments
  • Optimize Kubernetes clusters for performance and reliability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate container technologies
  • Improve scalability of orchestration systems under heavy workloads
  • Troubleshoot complex issues across containerized infrastructure
  • Implement security best practices in container deployment pipelines
  • Enhance monitoring and observability for container platforms
  • Support the deployment of large-scale distributed systems
  • Contribute to automation of cluster lifecycle management
  • Develop tools for debugging and performance analysis
  • Ensure compatibility across different container standards
  • Work on networking and storage integration within Kubernetes
  • Drive improvements in cluster efficiency and resource utilization
  • Participate in code reviews and system design discussions
  • Maintain documentation for software architecture and interfaces
  • Stay current with advancements in container and orchestration technologies
  • Mentor junior engineers on systems programming and design
  • Contribute to open-source projects related to containers
  • Evaluate new tools and frameworks for container ecosystems
  • Ensure software meets reliability and uptime requirements
