Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve advanced network and system issues
- Maintain high availability and performance of core infrastructure
- Implement and manage secure network configurations
- Support on-call rotations for critical incidents
- Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy scalable solutions
- Monitor network performance and optimize traffic flow
- Configure and maintain firewalls, routers, and switches
- Troubleshoot connectivity problems across distributed systems
- Ensure compliance with security policies and standards
- Document network topologies and system configurations
- Participate in capacity planning and infrastructure upgrades
- Respond to security alerts and conduct incident investigations
- Manage access controls and authentication systems
- Support cloud-based infrastructure and hybrid environments
- Work with third-party vendors and service providers
- Deploy and maintain monitoring and alerting tools
- Assist in disaster recovery planning and testing
- Optimize DNS, DHCP, and IP address management
- Evaluate new technologies for integration into existing systems
- Provide technical guidance to junior team members
- Ensure system logs are collected and analyzed
- Maintain network segmentation and traffic isolation
- Support secure remote access solutions
- Contribute to post-mortem analyses after outages
- Enforce change management procedures for infrastructure updates
