About the Role
The position involves deep technical ownership of network and system operations, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance across global infrastructure. The engineer will troubleshoot advanced issues, implement improvements, and support mission-critical services.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain network and system performance across global data centers
- Diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure issues at the network and system levels
- Implement and manage secure, scalable network architectures
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure system reliability and uptime
- Support deployment of low-latency data distribution systems
- Configure and manage firewalls, routers, and switches
- Troubleshoot connectivity and routing problems across distributed environments
- Maintain network monitoring and alerting systems
- Optimize system configurations for performance and resilience
- Respond to critical incidents and lead resolution efforts
- Document network topologies, configurations, and operational procedures
- Participate in capacity planning and infrastructure scaling initiatives
- Ensure compliance with security policies and network standards
- Evaluate and integrate new networking technologies
- Provide technical guidance to junior team members
- Work closely with development teams on infrastructure requirements
- Manage DNS, DHCP, and IP address allocation systems
- Support secure remote access and site-to-site connectivity
- Perform regular system audits and vulnerability assessments
- Administer Linux-based server environments
- Implement high-availability and failover solutions
- Support cloud and on-premises hybrid networking
- Maintain detailed records of network changes and outages
- Assist in disaster recovery planning and testing
- Stay current with evolving network protocols and security threats
