Responsibilities
- Conduct static and dynamic structural evaluations of composite and metal components using foundational engineering principles and analytical tools such as hand calculations, spreadsheets, scripts, and detailed finite element analysis
- Lead the development and management of finite element models at both system-wide and subsystem levels
- Work closely with hardware engineering teams to refine designs based on analytical outcomes
- Record analysis approaches and findings in technical documentation for internal and external stakeholders
- Support and execute validation testing activities, including defining instrumentation and loading needs, gathering data, and correlating test results with models
- Engage in flight test operations, including setting operational limits, monitoring structural loads, and evaluating post-inspection results
- Verify that structural designs comply with customer specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging analysis methods, material technologies, and relevant industry standards
