ENGIE is seeking a Senior Specialist in Energy Markets to join our team. In this role, you will lead the continuous update and improvement of the marginal cost projection model, ensuring its accuracy for short, medium, and long-term planning. You will be responsible for analyzing real-world data to optimize these models for strategic decision-making, while staying current with the evolution of energy sector regulations, mining, industrial, and generation projects.
What You'll Do
- Update and optimize the model used to project marginal costs for the short, medium, and long term.
- Analyze real-world data to identify and implement improvements to the marginal cost projection model.
- Study and review regulations and legislation in the electricity and natural gas sectors.
- Maintain up-to-date information on Mining and Industrial Projects.
- Maintain up-to-date information on Generation Projects.
What We're Looking For
- Professional Engineer or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical-Electrical Engineering, Energy Management, or related fields.
- Approximately 4 years of experience in similar positions.
- Knowledge of electricity system regulation and operation.
- Proficiency in optimization software: YUPANA, PLEXOS (desirable), and PERSEO.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of Technical Standards in the Electricity Sector.
- Proficiency with programming tools and Databases.
- Intermediate level of English.
