What You’ll Do
- Lead design packages for major highway projects, ensuring compliance with UK and Irish DMRB standards
- Develop bus infrastructure in line with LTN 1/24 and NTA guidelines
- Design greenways and active travel routes using Cycling by Design and TII DMRB frameworks
- Apply key design standards including DMURS and the Cycle Design Manual to deliver safe, inclusive solutions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, integrating input from drainage, structures, and environmental specialists
- Engage directly with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders through planning processes, including Environmental Impact Assessments and statutory approvals
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous learning
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in civil or infrastructure engineering
- Commitment to achieving Chartered Engineer status
- Strong understanding of UK and Irish design regulations
- Ability to manage project deliverables on time and within budget
- Experience working with public agencies and navigating approval processes such as the Northern Ireland Roads Order or Irish planning frameworks
