As a Regional Sales Manager, you’ll drive premium growth by establishing new relationships with retail agencies and deepening engagement with existing partners in your territory. You’ll identify high-potential agencies, onboard new agents into the Managed Access Program (MAP), and increase submission volume through consultative outreach and strategic account development.
Key Responsibilities
- Exceed monthly written premium targets by expanding agency participation and submission flow
- Prospect, qualify, and close new agency partnerships within independent and regional brokerage networks
- Educate agents on the platform’s benefits—direct access to 75+ admitted and excess & surplus carriers, automated workflows, and faster placement cycles
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned agencies, conducting regular business reviews and aligning support with agency goals
- Identify coverage gaps in agency books and position MAP as a solution for underserved risks
- Collaborate with underwriting, product, and marketing teams to relay field insights and improve the agent experience
- Help define sales processes, territory models, and go-to-market messaging as an early member of the sales team
What You Bring
- 3+ years in commercial P&C insurance, with direct experience in wholesale, E&S, or MGA environments
- Proven success developing new agent relationships—not just managing existing ones
- Understanding of how independent agencies decide where to place business
- Self-starter mentality with the ability to operate independently in a fluid, evolving organization
- Strong communication skills for leading meetings with agency leaders and following up effectively
- Familiarity with small commercial lines including general liability, BOP, workers’ comp, property, and commercial auto
- Experience using CRM platforms such as HubSpot or Salesforce
