The Senior Solutions Engineer will serve as a customer-facing product expert at Grafana Labs, partnering with the Sales team to articulate Grafana Labs' value proposition and drive technical engagements with customers. This role is based in Tokyo, Japan, and operates within a remote-first, globally collaborative environment.
What You'll Do
- Partner with the Sales team to articulate the overall Grafana value proposition, vision, and strategy to customers
- Own the technical engagement with customers and help close complex opportunities through advanced competitive knowledge, technical skill, and credibility
- Deliver product and technical presentations to potential and existing customers
- Effectively communicate with customers and internal teams to provide feedback on our products and the competitive landscape
- Drive product conversations based on need and problems with customers
- Work with the team to enhance documentation, write blog posts, record videos, contribute knowledge base articles, and create other public or private enablement material
What We're Looking For
- Ideal location in Tokyo, Japan
- 5+ years of technical pre-sales experience, ideally with Open Source technologies, or in the Metrics/Monitoring space
- Be open to various and complex assignments, requiring strong judgment, collaboration, and leadership
- First class written and oral communication skills to collaborate with remote-first internal teams and worldwide customers
- Ability to skillfully articulate the value proposition and technical advantages of Grafana Labs products
- Passion for solving technical challenges and bringing creative solutions to customers
- Technical mindset and desire to grow technically

Compensation: 14m - 18.5m JPY OTE for Japan. Restricted Stock Units (RSUs) included in all roles. Compensation ranges are country specific; actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset.
