Torc is hiring a Senior Software Engineer - SDT Base Apps

Responsibilities

  • Develop algorithms, design software, implement code, conduct unit and vehicle testing, and maintain deployed software while adhering to quality, safety, and process standards.
  • Execute the full software development lifecycle using C++ in a Linux environment, following Lean-Agile methodologies.
  • Carry out software tasks including design, coding, testing, and maintenance while complying with build, deployment, testing, and safety protocols.
  • Assist in diagnosing root causes of issues identified during testing and in automation workflows.
  • Support team planning by contributing to daily assignment identification and providing progress updates during stand-ups.
  • Contribute to software and system-level test plans and verification strategies to advance feature development and resolve defects.
  • Design and build systems for collecting and analyzing data from remote vehicles operating in real-world conditions.
  • Ensure software updates maintain or improve performance by validating changes through simulation tools and test scenarios.
  • Communicate clearly within the team to report progress, clarify design expectations, and request support to achieve team objectives.
