At DICK'S Sporting Goods, we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer - Omni Tooling & Visibility to build and evolve scalable enterprise solutions that power critical capabilities across our business. You will partner with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to analyze complex problems, deliver reliable systems, and continuously improve the platforms that support our growing omnichannel ecosystem.
What You'll Do
- Drive development of existing software and contribute to development of new software by analyzing and identifying areas for modification and improvement.
- Monitor, identify, and correct more complex software defects to maintain fully functioning software.
- Produce multiple concepts and prototypes to design digital products and services.
- Research and suggest ways to optimize solutions to better meet user, business, performance, and quality needs.
- Drive a maintenance roadmap to facilitate software development and ensure work is prioritized in line with business requirements.
- Find root cause and implement resolutions to limit and address issues promptly.
- Assign short-term work schedules to a team based on storyboarding and backlog to achieve expectations while following established timelines.
- Develop your own and more junior team member capabilities through training and coaching.
- Contribute to work within an established program management plan to achieve specific goals.
- Guide and deliver the design distribution of basic database resources and provide physical modeling services to tune database solutions for optimum performance.
- Support the collection of functional requirements using document analysis and workflow analysis.
What We're Looking For
- General Experience: Over 3 years to 6 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Managerial Experience: Basic experience coordinating the work of others (4 to 6 months).
Nice to Have
- A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent level of education and experience.
