Thomson Reuters is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to automate infrastructure, ensure security, foster AI development, mentor team members, and manage application operations. You will join a team driving innovation and operational excellence in a global technology environment.
What You'll Do
- Automate and deploy solutions to maintain and manage infrastructure, including Backup, High Availability, and New Platform Setup.
- Assess code reviews for quality, including code quality, acceptance criteria, business logic, test coverage, and alignment with overall architecture.
- Collaborate with ISRM team to increase applications' security scores and address vulnerabilities from security testing tools.
- Foster a culture of innovation to enable rapid development of AI solutions and frameworks.
- Mentor and train team members and maintain SME 'runbooks/cheat sheets' for assigned services.
- Perform Incident and Application Scheduling: Assist with root cause analysis, develop health methodology, create documentation, and drive recovery efforts.
- Perform Deployment and Support Activities: Plan and execute tech refresh and infrastructure upgrades. Ensure software quality through testing.
- Perform Application Event Management: Day-to-day operations, administration, and maintenance activities.
- Perform monthly patching of application and database.
- Responsible for application startup/checklist tasks, monitoring log files, queues, and transactions for exceptions.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
- 2 years of post-baccalaureate experience in a software development- or information security engineering- related occupation.
- 2 years of experience using system monitoring tools and automated testing framework, including DataDog and GitHub.
- 2 years of experience with the software development lifecycle process, including running projects end-to-end.
- 2 years of experience working on on-premise application migrations to AWS and supporting cloud applications.
- 2 years of experience in software engineering quality assurance.
- 2 years of experience working on static application security testing using Snyk and Trufflehog.
- 2 years of experience coding in Python and scripting with Git.
- 2 years of experience integrating AI frameworks across various projects, business use cases, and personas.

- Compensation Range: $84,448 - $104,000
