Responsibilities
- Architect and lead development of secure, scalable backend services using Laravel, making informed technical trade-offs involving AI components to balance reliability, performance, and cost
- Use artificial intelligence tools to speed up software development tasks such as coding, debugging, testing, and prototyping, while validating all outputs for correctness and safety
- Provide guidance on effective and responsible AI usage, including model selection, prompt engineering strategies, and ethical or privacy implications, while integrating compliance checks into workflows
- Mentor team members in engineering best practices and AI-enhanced development techniques; collaborate with Product, Security, DevOps, and other groups to align on deliverables and standards
- Evaluate and test new technologies and frameworks, especially AI-related tooling, while embedding automated governance and improving system observability and incident response
- Troubleshoot and resolve critical production incidents, conduct root cause analyses, and implement durable solutions
- Participate in and influence system architecture planning and long-term technical strategy discussions
- Conduct code reviews, enforce engineering quality standards, and refine testing and continuous integration/deployment processes
- Guide and develop junior engineers through technical mentorship, code feedback, and career growth support
- Work closely with product management, design, and support teams to deliver valuable features
- Enhance monitoring, observability, and incident response procedures to improve system reliability
- Lead efforts to boost developer productivity and overall system stability
