Karat is hiring a Senior Software Engineer (Interview Content) in India to develop and maintain our technical content library. You will create the high-quality interview questions and exercises that power assessments across various engineering roles, ensuring they are relevant for modern, AI-enabled development workflows.
What You'll Do
- Use your engineering expertise to produce Karat's most complex interview content, including extensive codebases and objective design exercises.
- Partner with Content Designers to develop new content formats that enable candidates to leverage generative AI during their interviews.
- Author new technical interview questions across a variety of subject domains, incorporating modern technology and AI.
- Mentor more junior Content Development Engineers through peer reviews, ensuring all content meets a consistent standard.
- Integrate feedback and iterate on content based on performance data and input from the Content Corrections team.
What We're Looking For
- 4+ years of post-academic experience as a software engineer, with the ability to program in a common language.
- Professional working experience using Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or another agentic AI solution for software development.
- Experience working remotely with global, distributed teams.
- Fluent, concise English communication skills in both verbal and written forms.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a track record of operating independently with high output and strict deadlines.

Team & Environment
You will be part of Karat's Content team, collaborating closely with Content Designers and other engineers to evolve our technical assessment library.
