BAE Systems Intelligence & Security seeks a Senior Software Engineer to join the Advanced Technology and Prototyping group. You will develop rapid prototypes addressing Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR), sensor exploitation, tracking, and Command and Control (C2) challenges for the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement rapid prototypes as part of a software development team for ISR, sensor exploitation, tracking, and C2 systems.
- Support customer demonstrations, integration events, and field experiments.
- Lead tasking for yourself and other developers, decomposing high-level requirements into manageable tasks.
- Apply strong organizational skills to multi-task, adapt to change, and meet quick-turnaround requests.
- Support customer meetings, demonstrations, and other externally facing activities.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering or science field with 4+ years of relevant experience OR an advanced degree with 2+ years of experience.
- Capability to lead a small team of software and test engineers, managing tasks and schedule.
- Understanding of multiple system interactions and ability to diagnose issues across applications.
- Strong coding, debugging, design, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, or Rust.
- Experience with collaborative source code management (Git, Subversion), Agile Development, and DevSecOps.
- Experience with Windows and Linux development environments.
Nice to Have
- Active Secret Clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI Clearance.
- Familiarity in one or more areas: Cloud native technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Harbor, Helm), real-time processing pipelines, UI/UX development including GIS, data analysis, space/air/ground systems, modeling & simulation, command and control, tracking and estimation methodologies, or mission planning.

Benefits & Compensation
- Salary Range: $97,008 - $164,914
