About the Role

bet365 is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join the dedicated Verification team for a ground-up re-architecture. In this role, you will enhance and support the business-critical Verification platform, from real-time AI facial recognition systems to core operational tooling. You will collaborate with UK teams and Technical Leads to design and implement robust systems and set standards for code quality and delivery.

What You'll Do

  • Enhance and support the business-critical Verification platform.
  • Deliver real-time facial recognition systems utilizing innovative AI technology.
  • Work on core operational tooling.
  • Design and implement robust verification systems.
  • Set the standard for code quality and delivery within the team.
  • Be an escalation point for the team both in and out of office hours.
  • Lead and deliver the development of scalable, maintainable, and performant systems.
  • Apply active governance around overall solution design.
  • Ensure solutions meet the needs of the business.
  • Take responsibility for work estimation, producing solution documents, and ensuring accurate portrayals of effort.
  • Gain an in-depth understanding of the technical structure, domain, and architecture of the team's systems.
  • Lead a small team of developers in the design and development of a solution from start to finish.
  • Own technical solutions and their hands-on delivery from development to live at a low level.
  • Distribute knowledge and mentor team members.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in leading development teams and delivering technical projects to successful completion.
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring in technical subject areas.
  • Ability to prioritize people and conversations over process.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, pressured environment.
  • Commercial experience using Cloud Platforms.
  • Knowledge of React and Typescript.
  • Experience with Golang Microservices.

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to C#, .net, MSSQL and/or WPF.

Team & Environment

You will join a full stack team collaborating with UK teams and reporting to Technical Leads.
