Design, build, and maintain scalable systems that deliver a first-class experience for both Credit Union members and staff
Own problems end-to-end: from understanding business requirements and making architectural tradeoffs, to shipping reliable solutions with minimal oversight
Work closely with Product and Design teams, as well as collaborate with external partners
Strengthen skills beyond engineering, such as communication, product thinking, and negotiation

7+ years as a Software Engineer, with meaningful backend experience in fast-paced environments
Proficiency in backend technologies, preferably TypeScript, Node.js, and NestJS
Experience designing and building APIs and services in distributed systems; comfort making tradeoffs between speed, quality, and scalability
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills — you dig into root causes, not surface-level fixes
Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows; you use AI tools to amplify your output while maintaining full accountability for code quality
Ability to communicate technical decisions clearly to cross-functional partners (Product, Design, external stakeholders)
Excellent English communication (written and verbal)
Ability to work collaboratively in a remote-first environment
