Wise is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Treasury FX Risk team. You’ll contribute to the core systems that calculate foreign exchange risk to meet Wise’s liquidity needs, ensuring our services provide accurate and timely data as the company scales.
What You'll Do
- Improve the scalability and reliability of our exchange rates infrastructure.
- Design and implement real-time data streaming flows to enable real-time monitoring of financial risk metrics.
- Tackle challenges related to processing large data volumes, addressing performance bottlenecks, and implementing fault-tolerant solutions.
- Gain in-depth expertise in the finance and treasury domains, contributing to the management of Wise's financial infrastructure.
- Collaborate deeply with Operations, Analytics, Trading, and Product teams to align technical and business objectives.
What We're Looking For
- Knowledge of Java and Spring Boot.
- A strong sense of ownership and excellent communication skills to drive cross-team projects.
- Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team player, frequently engaging in cross-team efforts.
- The ability to break down complex projects into incremental milestones that deliver customer value.
- Curiosity and a drive for continuous learning and improvement.
- Adherence to and advocacy for best coding practices, continuous delivery, and code reviews.
- A proven track record of leading technical initiatives and mentoring other engineers.
- Good discipline and skill in producing written documentation and diagrams.
