Precision for Medicine (Precision Medicine Group) is hiring a Senior Scientific Director - Medical Communications

Responsibilities

  • Oversee creation of accurate, evidence-driven, and client-focused scientific materials.
  • Evaluate content for clarity, factual correctness, logical structure, and strategic relevance.
  • Guide project strategy and execution from planning through delivery.
  • Stay current on therapeutic developments, competitor activity, and industry shifts; disseminate insights to teams.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop Scientific Directors, Associate Scientific Directors, and Medical Writers through skill-building initiatives.
  • Promote compliance with internal procedures and standard operating protocols.
  • Deliver onboarding and continuous training for new and existing team members.
  • Monitor team workload distribution and coordinate resource allocation.
  • Cultivate a positive, collaborative, and motivated team culture.
  • Acknowledge strong performance and support team cohesion through engagement activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to maintain operational efficiency and financial performance.
  • Coordinate cross-team resourcing and long-term planning including staffing and time-off coverage.
  • Evaluate project budgets and schedules; deliver practical recommendations to account leads.
  • Ensure projects stay on schedule and within financial parameters; address utilization issues proactively.
  • Contribute to the evolution of departmental content development workflows.
  • Demonstrate professional conduct and client interaction standards for the team.
  • Lead scientific discussions with clients and external experts; anticipate and respond to client needs.
  • Ensure comprehensive and accurate incorporation of feedback from clients, key opinion leaders, MLR, and authors.
  • Support account teams in preparing project scopes and identifying growth opportunities.
  • Set performance goals for self and direct reports; track progress and adapt as necessary.
  • Use professional development frameworks to monitor advancement and support career progression.
  • Engage in organizational initiatives and support effective change implementation.
