About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated Senior SAP FI/CO Consultant to join our team, bringing expertise in SAP Finance and Controlling modules to support clients in optimizing their financial processes. In this role, you will play a key part in implementing and enhancing SAP solutions, driving efficiency, and delivering high-quality results in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Configure and implement SAP FI/CO modules including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, and Product Cost Controlling.
- Continuously optimize financial processes within SAP to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Gather and document business requirements through close collaboration with stakeholders.
- Translate business needs into functional specifications for system implementation.
- Design end-to-end financial processes that align with customer expectations and operational goals.
- Coach team members and contribute to internal competence development within the finance practice.
- Share expertise and support knowledge transfer among colleagues in the finance homebase.
- Lead testing phases including unit, integration, and user acceptance testing.
- Deliver training programs to end-users to ensure smooth adoption of SAP solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across SAP Finance and Controlling modules.
- Ensure seamless integration between SAP FI/CO and other modules such as Sales and Distribution, Materials Management, and Production Planning.
- Engage with clients to understand business processes and identify improvement opportunities.
- Propose tailored solutions based on client needs and future requirements.
- Support sales activities by providing realistic project scoping and planning input.
- Contribute to project planning, estimation, and execution of workstreams.
- Take ownership of deliverables and drive tasks to completion.
- Stay updated on emerging SAP innovations, particularly in S/4HANA Finance.
- Explore and test new functionalities in SAP S/4HANA Finance.
- Collaborate across teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Maintain clear documentation throughout the implementation lifecycle.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients during transformation projects.
Requirements
- Proven experience in SAP Finance and/or Controlling modules.
- Hands-on knowledge in key areas such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Asset Accounting, or Cost Controlling.
- Multiple years of experience in SAP consulting or as a key user in finance or controlling roles.
- Demonstrated transition readiness from key user to consulting role.
- Fluency in both German and English languages.
- Strong consulting mindset with client-facing experience.
- Team-oriented individual who takes initiative and assumes responsibility.
- Ability to communicate clearly and manage tasks efficiently.
- Skilled in organizing work and meeting project deadlines.
