Avery Dennison is hiring a Senior Sales Manager to join Taylor Adhesives, part of its Materials Group in North America. In this role, you will define and execute the sales growth strategy, acting as a visionary leader who can navigate a matrix organization to deliver on growth and profitability targets.
What You'll Do
- Lead sales efforts to profitably grow the Taylor Adhesives business.
- Develop and execute business and customer plans.
- Develop new business models and negotiate major contracts.
- Build personal relationships with major clients.
- Be a key contributor in developing strategic and operating plans.
- Work with Marketing to formulate strategy, select target markets, and identify customer needs.
- Translate market trends and customer needs into actionable goals.
- Identify, assess, and manage new programs and business opportunities.
- Lead and manage priority growth projects, coordinating with R&D, manufacturing, quality, and application development.
- Participate in trade associations and technical conferences.
- Develop and implement long-term Business Development strategies for greater market share.
- Define the value proposition for the market, customers, and industry.
- Identify trends and opportunities for marketplace advantage.
- Provide vision and direction for a team of professional sales, technical, and customer service resources.
- Rally and empower the commercial team to achieve individual and business goals.
- Attract, develop, and retain high-potential talent.
- Act as a role model and change agent.
- Model and promote the Corporation’s Code of Business Ethics and Values.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 10+ years of experience emphasizing sales or business development and people leadership.
- 10+ years of experience in the building products industry.
- Strong experience in strategic leadership.
- Strong experience negotiating large or major contracts.
- Advanced business and financial acumen.
- Experience in planning, forecasting, researching new opportunities, and implementing successful account penetration.
- Strong background dealing with Distributor Channels in the building products industry and adhesives.
- Ability to champion new business ventures.
- Excellent organizational, people, and project management skills.
- Ability to travel 60% of the time.
Nice to Have
- Preference for Adhesives experience.

- Compensation: $175,000 - $200,000/year.
