OMRON is looking for a Senior Sales Engineer to take on a Key Account Manager role within our Automation business. You will be responsible for driving sales revenue and profit by promoting our solutions to assigned customers, directly contributing to our mission of improving lives and building a better society. This role requires accountability for meeting both individual and team sales budgets and KPIs.
What You'll Do
- Conduct the full Sales Engineer role as a Key Account Manager to promote Automation, achieving sales revenue and profit targets.
- Take accountability for individual and team targets to reach monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales budgets and KPIs.
- Create and implement account sales plans aligned with company strategy and direction.
- Manage Base Component MRO, Solution, and Service Sales with defined targets.
- Execute standard sales activities, including consistent customer visits and calls.
- Apply PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) implementation to ensure performance and efficiency.
- Promote account planning as the core sales operation with key customers.
- Commit to sales coaching and collaboration with sales and technical teams.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
- More than 8 years of experience in an Automation Sales function.
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically as necessary.
Nice to Have
- Experience in Project sales and solution sales.
- Knowledge of sales management, preferably within the food and commodity industry.
- Familiarity with Salesforce or similar sales force systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills, a proactive approach to customer challenges, and a hunter sales style.
